How to Get
Here
Forsknäckarna’s camp in
Vikheden, Ekorrsele is beautifully nestled by the
river, Vindelälven, in the Municipality of Vindeln.

STOCKHOLM
By plane, it takes about 1 hour between Arlanda and Umeå, followed by a 1-hour trip by
car to Ekorrsele. If you fly into Lycksele, it takes about ½ hour to get to Ekorrsele by
car.
UMEÅ
From Umeå, take northbound road 363, Vindelälvsvägen. After about 55 km, you’ll be
in the community of Vindeln, and from Vindeln, it’s about 30 km to the turnoff to
Lycksele (Road no. 699). Turn left and keep going for 10 km. Drive past
Ekorrsele. After
you have crossed the bridge over Vindelälven, continue on for about 300 m. Turn left and
you will come to the parking area next to the camp. There are signs at the
turnoffs.

LYCKSELE
Drive south along highway E12. Continue for14 km, then turn left after you pass Vilan.
Continue on approximately 20 km on highway 699 until you get to Övre
Ekorrsele 300 m before the bridge. Turn right to
get to Forsknäckarna’s camp. At the turnoffs, there are signs to lead you to
us.
